Business Bulletin
ABM’s Business Bulletin feature is a powerful tool for business owners to view a summary of the business’s health and wealth. Each bulletin is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet containing the selected tables and graphs. Bulletins can be viewed on demand or can be automatically created and emailed at specified intervals.
Email alerts
ABM automates emailing of alerts for events in the business data such as credit, budget or job estimate limits being exceeded as well as overdue customer alerts. This reduces the time needlessly spent on keeping track of crucial information and controlling financial responsibilities.
“One click” transfers of data to Microsoft Excel
Whenever a list of information is being displayed in ABM, a Microsoft Excel button will appear at the top of the screen allowing “one click” transfers of data to Excel with all headings and data organisation intact.
Scheduling automated tasks
ABM comes with a scheduler designed to make the operation and maintenance of your business simpler and increasingly automated. The scheduler links to the Window’s Scheduler allowing a view of all automated tasks scheduled on your system as well as options to add tasks such as reports, backups, database housekeeping and Business Bulletins. The purpose of this feature is to allow the user to focus their time on other areas while assuring them that these important tasks are kept up to date.
Multiple windows
Customers, suppliers, jobs, products and ledger accounts may be viewed concurrently inside of ABM. This allows the user to work with multiple areas of accounting at once, providing all information required for a particular task.
Friendly Microsoft Office style navigation
Users have the freedom to choose from a range of Microsoft Office style navigation bars to help familiarise with ABM, reducing learning time and increasing ease of use.
Customise your ABM look
Users can personalise their ABM according to their tastes with 16 different “skins”, including Windows Vista colour scheme. The “skins” provide a variety of colour schemes for windows, text, boxes, tabs, etc to customize your ABM working environment.
Email for documents and statements
Integration of Microsoft Office allows for emailing within ABM which reduces a business’s postage and handling costs. A range of items may be sent directly to email from ABM including invoices, product information and customer statements.
Variable trading terms
ABM has the ability to set variable trading terms to individual customers and suppliers as well as groupings of customers and suppliers, providing flexibility in the way the business deals with external parties.
Robust, fast database
ABM uses the Microsoft SQL Server/MSDE database engine for superior reliability and performance with added security to your company’s data.
Quick list filtering – an easy way to view relevant information
List filtering is a great way to view relevant information you wish to focus on at a particular time. On any list of information (for example products, customers, suppliers, jobs, etc) the user may simply right click on a particular description of an item and select the option to “Filter on this item”, which reduces the list to all items matching the description. This is another example of how ABM creates an easy, fast and logical working environment to control and work with information in the business.
Scalable data
Ensuring SQL Server runs efficiently
Users of both SQL Express and full SQL Server can set up a housekeeping plan, which ensures that database performance is optimum within the limits of their hardware.
